The property

Set within a scenic position on the harbour of Charlestown, in Cornwall is The Old Smokehouse, enjoying stunning views of the Cornish coastline. Still containing some of its original features and combining contemporary charm, this cottage has been lovingly converted into the perfect family holiday home or couple's retreat, welcoming four guests. The open-plan living space boasts a wonderful social aspect; with an Atlantic theme throughout the property, in keeping with its delightful harbourside location, this room invites everyone to gather after a day of exploration to relax on the leather sofa to watch a film on the Smart TV. The well-equipped, sleek kitchen also has charming traditional features and offers every essential for preparing a delicious dinner for the group; why not enjoy fresh seafood brought from the coast? Indulge in tasty treats at the dining table before an evening of board games. Moving onto the first floor you can find the two bedrooms, both with their own feature wallpaper and TVs to keep you entertained in the evenings; you'll find an impressive king-size and an equally elegant twin, the perfect set up for a family of four, both with ample storage and serviced by a spacious bathroom. In the mornings, enjoy a coffee and take one of many books from the shelf before heading to the front lawn with your canine companion by your side to begin your day amongst the fresh breezes of the harbour. This attractive property is conveniently situated in the midst of Charlestown’s Georgian harbour, a fabulous spot which has served as the setting for TV’s Poldark series and where you can discover The Tall Ships. You will be spoilt for choice by the selection of fine pubs and restaurants catering for all tastes. Nearby Carlyon Bay has a fabulous coastline with some lovely walks, sheltered coves and traditional fishing villages (such as Mevagissey) for a wonderful day out.
