Melvill House is a short walk from a mix of attractions, including several pubs and restaurants where you can treat the group to a meal out, plus many shops around the waterfront area. The Blue Flag award-winning sands of Gyllyngvase Beach rest just a short walk away, where lazy afternoons can be spent lounging on the sands or paddling the shores, whilst those looking for a bit of adventure can take to the water on a kayak or canoe. Head to the Event Square, where you can visit the National Maritime Museum and spot the beautiful superyachts that are moored, plus there are some excellent eateries here, including Rick Stein’s Restaurant with a fish and chip shop alongside. If exploration takes you further afield then the delights of Penryn are easily accessible, with its fascinating museums, the Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary, and the beautiful Enys Gardens.
