There's a well-kept garden to the front of the house and at the back, more neat garden with a big patio area for alfresco dining and an old apple tree providing much needed shade on warm summer days. The village shops, bars and restaurants, as well as the majestic natural harbour, are just a short walk away, as are many lovely cliff and wooded-valley walks. Beach lovers need to head for the little, low-tide sandy beach at Bossiney or the bigger Trebarwith Strand, also popular with surfers. If you love a touch of mystery and folklore, then head for Tintagel and its famous ruined castle, rich in Arthurian legend.
