The shops in the village are traditional independent shops offering locally sourced produce ideal for making snacks and picnics for lazy days on the beach and enthralling walks along the stunning coastal path. The area is steeped in history and the area's mining heritage is everywhere around including some spectacular sights along the coastal path itself.
