After you've enjoyed your morning coffee whilst soaking in views of the horizon in the garden, take time to explore your local area by making the short trip into Tintagel, where you can roam the historic spots of the Tintagel Castle and Barras Nose, or even the fabled beach cove of Merlin's Cave. The North Tintagel Boulders and the lush sands of Bossiney Cove are also worth a stop at, as well as the National Trust landmarks of the Tintagel Old Post Office and Glebe Cliff. A brief drive South West will bring you to the quaint fishing village of Port Isaac; since 2004, the village has served as the backdrop to the ITV television series Doc Martin. It also is home to the sea shanty singing group Fisherman's Friends. Drive a little further down along the coast and you come to Polzeath, a seaside resort village home to the Pentire Point nature reserve, Polzeath Beach and the Pentireglaze hiking area. Camelford and Wadebridge are also worthwhile stops to visit during your time in the region, or why not board the ferry from Rock to Padstow, to tour the bustling fishing town?
