Bibury village centre is a ¼ mile walk and, by car, Cirencester 6 miles, Burford 9 miles, Fairford 5 miles, Bourton on the Water 12 miles, Cheltenham 20 miles, Oxford 30 miles. The spacious cottage is beautifully decorated. It has a stylish, well-equipped kitchen, separate large pantry, cosy living-dining space - with a stone-flagged floor - and two beautifully furnished, comfortable double bedrooms with outstanding views. Bibury was described by William Morris as the ‘most beautiful village in England’. The short stroll to the honey-coloured stone weavers’ cottages, Arlington Row, is along a quiet footpath to the heart of the village passing the local pub and coffee shop. Well behaved dogs and children (and adults!) are welcomed to enjoy the 7 acres of garden, woodland walks and fields. The 2 acre fenced field is great for dog exercise. Guests are welcome to use the cottage’s private garden, walk down to our stretch of the River Coln and to use the ‘Trout House’, a garden room with wood burner and spectacular views across a hidden valley. Just imagine... peace and quiet, birdsong and dark skies..! The birdwatching here is sensational with over 65 recorded species ranging from kingfishers to barn owls, egrets to goldcrests.
