Summary

Guests appreciated the charming and cozy environment of the cottage, praising its romantic feel and good location. However, they noted issues such as poor kitchen supplies, maintenance problems, lack of privacy in the bathroom, limited parking, and minor cleanliness concerns. Many expressed a desire to return despite these issues.

The property

With wonky beams, slopey floors and majestic views across the quintessential English scene, 'Brooklands' is just what you want from a typical Cotswolds cottage. Tucked within the Ballinger's Row, an historic collection of 17th Century cottages, Brooklands is the charming and perfect 'get away from it all' bolt hole within a truly romantic location. Not only that, inside the character speaks for itself, spacious rooms presented with antique touches, altogether give this beautiful home a truly cosy feel. Watch the telly or read a book in front of the fire, or simply do nothing but enjoy the exceptional setting and commanding views over the completely unspoilt Chedworth Valley. And there is a delightful country pub at the end of your lane too, The Seven Tuns is currently closed, but hopefully re-opening soon. Although in the Row, the impression is of complete seclusion and tranquility, having an enclosed mature garden and situated on a narrow lane with scarcely any traffic at all: but cars can deliver (and turn around at the end of the road) and are parked at the end of the lane. This is an eclectic, manor-style bolt hole just perfect for hiding away from the busy world!

Enchanting cottage with incredible views. Gorgeous, romantic bolt hole. Heavenly.

Two bedrooms: 1 x first floor double bedroom, 1 x single bedroom accessed through the double bedroom( this room is only suitable for a small child). First floor bathroom with bath, shower over, WC and washbasin, washing machine. Kitchen/dining area. Living room.

Night storage heating with woodburning stove. Electric hob, oven and grill, microwave, fridge. Small freezer located in the shed in the back garden. TV, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Large garden to rear. Cot and highchair available. Parking is located at the end of the lane, although guests will be able to pull up to the front door and unload, (sadly the lane isn't wide enough to park on) - where you park is about 75 yards away and is on a similarly quiet spot, but a wider lane. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Note: The single bed is not suitable for adults, small children only.
Please note there is a Good House Keeping Bond of £50 for this property, this will be shadowed at the time of booking.
