The Garden Cottage is a superb pet friendly dwelling for a couple seeking romantic getaway in the Cotswolds. On the edge of the National Trust owned Minchinhampton common, the area offers a plethora of walks and open space. Look forward to impressing your other half with delicious meals, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy dishwasher, and ready to enjoy at the dining table over a bottle of wine which opens out onto a quiet enclosed private courtyard with relaxing sun loungers. After dinner, retire to the sitting room, where you can snuggle up on the sofa in front of your favourite show, as your four-legged friend curls up in front of the crackling woodburning stove.There is also a delightful snug area with a sofa bed , perfect for enjoying a moment of peace with a hot chocolate and a selection of lovely books. Completing the ground floor is a cloakroom for your convenience. Climb the stairs to the first floor, where you will find a spacious double bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom, perfect for freshening up before retiring to bed. On those evenings when you don’t feel like cooking, head over to the on site Amberley Inn, an historical landmark where you can enjoy tasty dishes, fine wines and local ales as well as enjoy a 10% discount off all food purchased. If you can tear yourself away from your pretty surroundings, wander into the local village with its stunning views across the five valleys as well as home to one of the oldest links courses in England, Minchinhampton Old Golf Course. Alternatively visit Woodchester Valley wines for a preorganised tour of the vineyard and sample their award-winning wines. Continue into Stroud, the home every Saturday to one of the largest Farmers Markets in the UK FROM 8-2PM. Also nearby is the traditional Cotswold town of Cirencester as well as Tetbury the home of HRH Price of Wales, and a truly beautiful bustling Cotswold market town.
