Broadway is known as the Jewel of the Cotswolds owing to the history and architecture of the properties, the wealth of fabulous restaurants and pubs, the variety of gift shops, art galleries and museums. The property itself is also steeped in its own history, in fact The Bindery, as the name suggests, was originally used as a studio by a famous Arts and Crafts bookbinder, Katherine Adams, who was very celebrated in her time. The surrounding Cotswold villages are all well worth a visit including Stow on the Wold, which offers a unique high street with pubs, gift shops, bakeries and Fosse Gallery, the historic Burford situated on the Windrush River with some fabulous restaurants and shops, along with Bourton on the Water which has the famous Cotswold Motoring Museum and the very impressive Birdland Park and Gardens. The nearby town of Cheltenham has its own points of interest at both Montpellier Gardens and Pittville Park, the Regent Arcade shopping centre and if you time your trip right a visit to the very popular Cheltenham Racecourse could end up on your itinerary.
