The property

This cosy little cottage in a charming quiet lane on the outskirts of Fulbrook dates back over 300 years and formed part of the Fulbrook Manor Estate. The cottage features many quaint and quirky details with low ancient beamed ceilings and crooked walls, which remind of centuries past and are so typical of old Cotswold buildings.

Step inside to a small lounge/dining room with an extendable dining table, a sofa and two armchairs, a smart TV and an electric faux wood burner for a cosy atmosphere at the end of a long day exploring. The small kitchenette, equipped with a two ring hob, combi microwave/oven, fridge, toaster, kettle and sink offers the option to have a simple relaxed meal at home should you be able to resist the many incredible pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Through the kitchen is a rear door into a small enclosed back garden where you can enjoy a rest and a spot of sunshine and off to the side is the bathroom with a bath/shower.

The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed and enough extra room for an infant cot if needed and is just off the lounge. A spiral staircase leads up to a second open bedroom with 2 single beds, which can be pushed together if preferred.

Burford High Street is a 10 minute walk away and there are some wonderful country walks starting just at the end of the lane or there are plentiful options a short drive away. Further afield, discover the charming market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh or Cirencester. Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the’Venice of the Cotswolds’ and the nearby villages of Lower and Upper Slaughter, are well worth a visit to take a leisurely stroll along the river Windrush, admiring the pretty bridges and picturesque scenery. Other attractions worth adding to your itinerary include Blenheim Palace, Sudely Castle, Warwick Castle and numerous National Trust Properties in the region.
