This property is ideal for a couple wanting to enjoy the magnificent countryside of the Wye Valley AONB, while also being within easy reach of the River Wye, Forest of Dean and the England/Wales border. Nearby Whitchurch is known for being the home of the tower clock, and has been producing clocks since the mid-17th century, and offers a wonderful array of ancient architecture, as well as a a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. The market town of Ross-on-wye, which rests along the banks of the River Wye, has a picturesque river walk, the Thomas Blake Memorial Garden and an indoor swimming pool. Explore the stunning woodland of the Forest of Dean and the diverse habitats and wildlife that inhabits the White Rocks Nature Reserve, close to the mysterious attraction of the limestone King Arthur's Cave. For a fun day out, explore The amazing Hedge Puzzle, as well as the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo, which houses a variety of tropical butterfly species, while the Norman castle ruins of Goodrich Castle, built during the 11th century, are also well-worth a visit.
