Step inside your new abode and you'll find a handy single-storey layout that will prioritise ease throughout your stay. First up is the kitchen/diner which is where the chef of the group can cook some culinary classics which can be shared at the dining table while you plan what adventures are up next. When you need some downtime, head to either the sitting room for some TV or the snug where you can get lost in a good book and keep toasty in front of the woodburning stove. In the summer months, fire up the barbecue in the garden and enjoy some grilled favourites under the rays of sunshine! A ferry operates daily on the hour throughout the summer, offering a convenient and popular route to Carlingford town, with the terminal conveniently located just half a mile from the property. When the sun sets, head to one of four well-appointed bedrooms to catch your rest. There are two doubles, one with an en-suite for added privacy, a twin and a single. Servicing these is a slick shower room, perfect for taking a nice rinse to get yourself freshened up for the day. Once you’re ready to venture out, step into the great outdoors and explore all the wonders the local province has to offer, including a 13th-century Norman castle just half a mile from the house. Head to Cranfield Beach for a lovely stroll by the sea or head inland and explore Mourne Park, Woodland Trust. On your travels pay a visit to the coastal town of Kilkeel and visit its harbour and indulge in some fish and chips while you're there! There are plenty of hiking areas such as Rocky Mountain, Slievemeen and Slievefadda. Time your holiday right and visit Santa's Cottage Hilltown which has Santa's home, the elve's workshop, Rudolph and light shows! Finally, you can cross the border into the Republic of Ireland and visit the stretch of coastline that houses Carlingford Castle, the yearly Carlingford Oyster Festival or head into Dundalk for a nice day out.
