For a more challenging day out, make your way to the Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail for a steep walk through pastures and bog with lovely views of Northern Ireland's varying terrains. Or for somewhere closer you can walk along to the nearby Lower Lough MacNean to enjoy a relaxing stroll. Enniskillen is a historic town within reach and is well known for its beautiful countryside and its many attractions, including Enniskillen Castle Museums, the National Trust's Castle Coole, St. Michael's Church, and Portora Castle; there are also many excellent shopping and dining options in the town, making it a great place to spend a day or weekend.
