If you can tear yourself away from this delightful base, venture to the town of Launceston, where you will find a selection of pubs and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a selection of shops to explore one afternoon. Within the town, you will also find the ruins of the 13th-century keep, a number of golf courses and the Steam Railway which offers 5-mile round trips on the North Cornwall line.
