Step out onto the balcony to take in the breath-taking views across the beautiful ancient churchyard whilst you dine alfresco and toast to your getaway to the accompaniment of glorious birdsong. As the sun sets, retreat to the ground floor where you'll find two, well-appointed double bedrooms, both featuring exposed stonework, plush bedding, and decadent en-suite shower rooms, providing plenty of space to refresh and unwind. Come morning, head to the neighbouring market town of Hatherleigh to stock up on supplies at the Co-Op, before you travel to nearby Okehampton to tour the Museum of Dartmoor Life, discover the remains of Okehampton Castle, practise your swing at Okehampton Golf Club, or hike around the landscape of Meldon Viaduct. Head for the national park, brimming with beauty spots, with the Black-a-Tor Copse National Nature Reserve ready to be explored, or follow the walking trail up to Higher Tor for picturesque, elevated views across the county.
