Within easy reach are Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National park, where you will find miles of walking routes amid breath-taking scenery, as well as the coastal towns of Bude, Port Isaac, Padstow, Crackington Haven, Tintagel, Boscastle and Trebarwith Strand.
Your nearest beach is at Crackington Haven – a lovely cove dominated by majestic cliffs suitable for swimming and surfing and dog friendly for part of the year. There are also many beaches nearby that are dog friendly all year round. If you can tear yourself away from this delightful base, venture to the town of Launceston, where you will find a selection of pubs and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a selection of shops to explore one afternoon. Within the town, you will also find the ruins of the 13th-century keep, a number of golf courses and the Steam Railway which offers 5-mile round trips on the North Cornwall line.
