Designed as a Finnish style chalet 10 Pinewood is of wooden construction with a panelled interior giving the home a warm and rustic feeling. With its large original windows, it is both airy in the summer and snug in the winter. It has been a family holiday home for the past 10 years and is styled with holiday making in mind with a well-equipped kitchen for home cooking and lined curtains for sleep ins.
The open-plan sitting room, kitchen and dining room means that no one misses out on the holiday, if you have company, you can easily call for someone to lay the table.
To help you get the sand off your toes the bathroom has a modern and spacious shower.
The veranda is a great place to sit and have coffee and plan for the day, have lunch or relax whilst watching the sun go down.
Another special feature of 10 Pinewood are the wonderful all year-round heated indoor swimming pool and summer opening outdoor pools. Great for that early morning invigorating wake-up, evening wind down or just to bask and play swim.
Perfectly situated on the UNESCO Jurassic Dorset and East Devon main coastal road and 3 miles either way between Lyme Regis and Seaton, you can explore far and wide.
With a bus stop right outside it is great place for walkers to tick off a part of the coastal path or explore towns, villages and even a Cities, without having to get behind a steering wheel. There is a summer park & ride at Lyme Regis to overcome those busy summer scrambles for a parking space. It’s great for keen cyclists to challenge themselves on the undulating Devon roads too.
A visit to Lyme Regis is a must, with its family-friendly beach, charming harbour, interesting shops, popular Theatre, fascinating aquarium and museums galore!
In nearby Seaton, the mile-long pebble beach is perfect for water sports like kayaking and paddleboarding. Fishing on the shore or looking for crabs by the harbour is great fun too.
The Seaton Wetlands Centre provides peaceful walks through marshland and reedbeds, with accessible trails and bird hides that make it a haven for nature lovers.
Sidmouth folk festival is a go to for all traditional music and dance lovers too.
All fossil hunters will enjoy exploring Charmouth, a beach that often reveals ancient treasures and a Jurassic memento to take home.
The quaint village of Beer enchants visitors with its picturesque beach, framed by dramatic white limestone cliffs. Whilst the quarry will give you a chance to see bats roosting in a strange subterranean world.
