The property
A stunning Victorian farmhouse, located on the coastline of the picturesque town of Rousdon, 2 Old Home Farm makes the perfect holiday home for families and groups of adults, with a wonderful garden and easy access to the Jurassic coastline and Lyme Regis.
Be in awe of this beautiful traditional farmhouse upon arrival, walking through the dappled shade of the surrounding trees to be greeted by stunning architecture. Upon entering the property, you will find yourself in a spacious sitting room with large windows and a dining area, the perfect space to enjoy a coffee as you plan your day, or a family games night around the dining table, and there is a wonderful open fire in keeping with the history of this property that will warm your feet after a long day of fossil hunting along the Jurassic coast. Carrying on the pastel theme of the sitting room, a kitchen with wonderful high ceilings and natural light welcomes you to try out cooking with local produce, with colourful tiles giving this space a homely feel and ample amenities to make your stay convenient. As the evening draws to a close, there will be plenty of rooms to choose from, starting with a king-size with a zip-link, with coral walls, a stylish yellow armchair and furniture as well as a staircase leading up to this room, where you will find another yellow armchair and homely décor, and there is a second king-size room, this one outfitted in a relaxing yellow and with ample storage as well as a stylish en-suite shower-room with grey tiles. There are also two twin rooms with zip-links that can be set up as king-size on request, both with tartan blankets and one with quirky floral wallpaper and the other a theme of seaside blue, and you can freshen up in the bathroom with a soak in the bath before heading out for the day. The garden for this property is absolutely stunning, with large shrubs adding splashes of colour amongst tall trees and a huge lawn, where you will find a table and chairs, perfect for breakfast outside as your four-legged family member reclines on the grass.
Around the local area you will find a great variety of wildlife, with stretches of woodland and pasture. There is easy access to Lyme Regis Fossil Beach where you will be able to explore the rocky shoreline to see what fossils hide beneath the rocks. For countryside walks and stunning scenery, visit Cannington Viaduct. The property is within easy reach of Lyme Regis, a popular seaside town full of shops, cafés and restaurants as well as two museums and an aquarium, making this the perfect family day out with walks along sandy beaches and rocky shores at the base of towering cliffs. Explore the wonders of Devon with a stay at 2 Old home Farm.
