Maiden Newton 3.4 miles. The Cow Shed is a welcoming, detached property located on the edge of the Kingcombe National Nature Reserve Lower Kingcombe, near Maiden Newton, Dorset. The property is owned and run by Dorset Wildlife Trust and is located within the grounds of Kingcombe Visitor Centre. The centre grounds boasts an on-site cafe, orchards and wildlife friendly gardens in close proximity to the property. Boasting en-suite bedrooms, on-site facilities, and off road parking, this pet-friendly retreat is perfect for university groups, large families, or groups of friends seeking a rural adventure to Dorset. Upon entering the property, you will be greeted by a spacious kitchen/diner, fully equipped to cater to all your culinary needs throughout your stay. Adjacent to this, you will find a handy utility room housing a washing machine, perfect for longer stays. For relaxation, retreat to the snug, complete with a selection of books, providing a quiet space to unwind after a day of exploration. The property also benefits from a boot room, ideal for storing your walking gear after a day out in the countryside. The Cow Shed offers a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit all types of groups. On the ground floor, you will find two twin bedrooms, each boasting an en-suite with a walk-in shower, along with a single bedroom also featuring an en-suite with similar facilities, ideal for those with limited mobility. Upstairs, there are additional four twin bedrooms, all with en-suites equipped with walk-in showers. In addition there are two single bedrooms one of which has a separate shower room with a walk-in shower, the other with a ensuite.
