Kimmeridge Bay also lies within driving distance, making a wonderful stop to explore this marine Special Area of Conservation, as well as it being home to rockpools rich in wildlife and the safest snorkelling site in Dorset, as well as sitting on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and along the South West Coast Path, giving you plenty of places to explore. Visit the wonderful The Etches Collection Museum of Jurassic Marine Life, before venturing out further to find the Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum and the astounding natural Blue Pool on the outskirts of Wareham, while the centre of the town hosts even more amenities to take your pick from as well as its very own enticing museum.
