Located near the centre of the village of Whithorn, this lovely cottage is a short stroll from the historic 5th century priory and museum, open from March to October and home to a superb collection of carved stones. Follow in the footsteps of a king on The Robert the Bruce Trail or delve deeper back in time to discover more about Scotland’s oldest Christian community, dating from 500 AD. The tranquil fishing village of the Isle of Whithorn is a short drive down to the coast, while Wigtown is host to a Book Festival each autumn, as well as being Scotland’s Book Town. With the rugged coastline and sandy beaches, as well as the majesty of the Galloway Hills Forest Park, nearby, there is something for everyone at Priory Walk, whatever the weather.
