Goodrest is accessed via a stone path from the small garden area at the front, with two adjacent parking spaces. The area around Verwood offers fantastic walking opportunities. Within six miles lies the boundary of the New Forest, a fascinating and scenic National Park, famous for its wild ponies, deer, pretty villages and quaint inns. An easy drive south takes you to the award winning sandy beaches, great shops, theatres and cinemas at Bournemouth, or travel a short distance north to the historic city of Salisbury, with its stunning cathedral, Wilton House and, of course, Stonehenge. Take a boat trip to Brownsea Island from Poole harbour and visit the wildlife. Also within driving distance are Kingston Lacy Country House, and Max Gate, Thomas Hardy's home. This is a great location from which to explore this fascinating area. A lovely cottage, in an ideal location to explore some of the best of the South West.
