The property is excellent for large family gatherings, with a spacious kitchen and dining area. However, attention is needed for plumbing issues, non-functioning curtains, child safety locks, and kitchen equipment preferences. The property

This elegant, detached, three-storey Victorian house is set in the peaceful Newlands Valley near Keswick, Cumbria. With a luxury interior and stunning walks from your doorstep, this large holiday home sleeps up to 20 guests in 10 bedrooms, has off-road parking for seven cars, a spacious garden, and three sitting rooms: the perfect base for extended family holidays and celebrating special occasions! Step inside to find a traditional hallway with a cloakroom and hanging space to leave your boots and coats, before making yourself at home in the spacious kitchen/diner. This sociable space is fully-equipped with high-quality appliances, crockery, and utensils, as well as bespoke, handmade oak furnishings and a breakfast bar to relax with a glass of wine. You can serve hearty, home-cooked at the formal dining table with access and views of the garden, where you can enjoy alfresco dining on summer evenings and toast to your elegant hideaway. Back inside, there are three beautifully appointed sitting rooms to choose from; the first is a formal lounge with a bay window, fell views, and a woodburning stove, the second with a gas fire and Smart TV for entertainment, and the third, a welcoming sitting room with another woodburning stove and Smart TV. If you're travelling with younger guests, they're sure to love the first-floor games room, a snug bolthole with a games console, sofas, and bean bags. The first floor also hosts a utility and five bedrooms with en-suite facilities; a super-king-size, two king-size, a double, and a twin. Climbing the stairs again brings you to another five bedrooms with en-suite facilities; two super-king-size, a double, and two twin, one of which is decorated with Beatrix Potter characters and ideal for children. Venture further afield to Ullswater, home to the popular sight of Aira Force Waterfall, Grasmere to visit the home of William Wordsworth, whilst travelling north leads you to the bustling town of Cockermouth. For more outdoor adventures, Bassenthwaite sits close to the Lake District Wildlife Park, Bassenthwaite Lake National Nature Reserve, and panoramic views from the top of Skiddaw.
