The property

Once you're inside this beautifully traditional cottage, you'll be charmed by those gorgeous old beams and cute little doors, but impressed by the level of style and sheen throughout the cottage. Ingenious design makes the most of the petite but perfectly formed living space, and a romantic double bedroom is made truly special by an attractive vaulted ceiling. With the benefit of a peaceful setting within one of the Lake District's most vibrant villages, Cobblestone Cottage is only a stone's throw from sophisticated shops, tempting eateries, acclaimed Lake District restaurants and the bliss of Lake Windermere's shores. What a perfect little couple's retreat!. Accommodation in detail Approach via a covered, shared cobbled yard, also used by a joiner and a plumbers firm, in a conservation area of Ambleside. Up a small flight of stone steps to the entrance way and patio. The living room area, with original oak beams is cleverly laid out to include a well-equipped kitchen, dining space when required and a comfy, cosy sofa. Upstairs to the double bedroom, with old oak beams and vaulted ceiling. A cute arched door leads to the shower room. A washer and dryer are housed in the external secure store. Location This traditional Ambleside holiday cottage places you within short strolling distance of all the facilities, shops, restaurants and attractions Ambleside has to offer. Couples will be delighted by the choice of excellent restaurants in Ambleside, including the acclaimed Glass House restaurant once visited by Gordon Ramsey, and also the opportunity to walk a short distance to the shore of Lake Windermere for a romantic lake cruise. The village centre is stuffed with tempting delis and cafes, as well as several cosy pubs for a heartier meal! Ambleside is widely-regarded as a gathering point for walking in the Lake District, and advice on routes and equipment is easily found in the many outdoor shops and the tourist information centre. Ambleside's historic centre includes such attractions as the famous 'Little Bridge House'. Nearby is Rydal Mount and Gardens, William Wordsworth's best-loved family home.
