Venture a little further on to reach Waterhead where you can hire a boat, enjoy a selection of lake cruises or just sit and admire the scenery with a picnic. The National Park Visitor Centre at Brockhole is not far is ideal for a day out, offering well-maintained grounds and footpaths that you can explore before stopping off for something to eat at the seasonal teashop. For the more active members of the group, climb the mountain peaks of Claife Heights, go mountain biking at Grizedale Forest or test yourself at flyboarding or paddleboarding on Lake Windermere.
