Grange Fell (Borrowdale)

Originally converted from a barn, this pretty Lakeland cottage is situated in one of the most spectacular areas of the Lake District. Surrounded by mountains, and only a short drive from the centre of Keswick, Grange Fell makes a superb base from which to enjoy some of Wainwright’s favourite walks including Castle Crag and Catbells.
The cottage itself is full of charm, with a warm and welcoming vibe. A smart kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to rustle up a hearty breakfast or supper. The farmhouse dining table and comfortable chairs are perfect for a lively family meal or celebration. A cosy sitting room comes with feature fireplace and large wood burning stove, while the views from the picture windows are incredible. Fitted carpets, comfy sofas and storage heaters ensure that this is somewhere guests will come to relax after a vigorous day of walking and exploring.
Up the stairs to the three spacious bedrooms and house bathroom. On the first floor is the master bedroom, a double with en-suite shower room, a twin room and house bathroom with shower over the bath. The views from here are pretty amazing, but the one from the eves twin room have to be the best.
Outside there is a safe place to store bikes, along with a pretty patio garden area complete with garden furniture. On a summer’s evening, this is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy watching the sun set over the majestic mountains and fells.
