Settle outside on the elevated patio and admire the views, or simply sit back and enjoy the quiet location before taking a gentle walk into the village. An abundance of walks and cycle routes are available right from the doorstep, whilst the Lake District fells, Grizedale Forest, Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are nearby. Why not travel over to Cartmel and visit the shop where the original sticky toffee pudding is sold? This charming village is also well known for its superb restaurants and pubs and of course, the ancient Priory. A drive up the pretty Rusland Valley will take you to the quaint village of Hawkshead and to Hill Top, where Beatrix Potter lived and was inspired to write many of her charming tales. From here you can also catch the car ferry and cruise across Lake Windermere to discover the vibrant lakeside towns of Bowness-on-Windemere and Ambleside.
