The property

Located just a minutes’ walk from the centre of Bowness and Lake Windermere is this wonderful former coach house overlooking the lake and fells beyond.

Now a luxury retreat with lots of charm and character with a mix of vintage and modern and the living areas located on the first floor to make the most of the Lakeland view. This high-quality accommodation is ideal for two couples or friends looking for a central base in the Lakes.

On the ground floor are two king-size double bedrooms to relax after a day exploring the local attractions, with the master bedroom also boasting an en-suite shower room. The main bathroom is also located downstairs. When entering the first floor you will be welcomed into an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with gorgeous views and open fire to enjoy in the cooler months. Access the spacious balcony through the French doors from the sitting area, a lovely place to dine al fresco on a summers evening. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for rustling up a delicious meal to eat at the solid oak breakfast bar.

Stroll to the lake shore to hire a boat or take a cruise to Lakeside or Ambleside. After exploring via water, return to Bowness and try one of the many bars and eateries on offer, you will certainly be spoilt for choice. Visit Blackwell – The Arts and Crafts House just 6 minutes’ drive away. This impressive property is set in a stunning position overlooking Lake Windermere and hosts a range of interesting exhibitions all year round.
