This delightful cottage is set amongst beautiful woodlands on a high promontory on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere. As you enter this hidden glade, the many delights of this beautiful retreat will unfold, with mature trees, fir, bracken and the occasional glimpse of local wildlife. Ideal for a family together, pack the walking boots and explore this lovely corner of the national Park. After a hard days walking, simply relax in the hot tub and take in the beautiful surroundings. This delightful cottage is bright and welcoming and features a sitting room with stylish, contemporary furnishings and lovely views of the surrounding woodlands. Enjoy some home cooking then relax by a cosy woodburning stove. With four bedrooms, the property is just perfect for a family group with lots of flexibility and excellent modern bathroom facilities. Outside, a fabulous decked area provides a great space for sitting out and dining alfresco or relaxing in the luxurious hot tub. Less than a mile away is the wonderful idiosyncratic and charming Windermere Golf Club, a friendly and welcoming club. A short trip down to the ferry provides access to the west shore of Lake Windermere with outstanding mountain bike trails, especially along the lake trail, access to Hawkshead and the magical Tarn Hows area. All the facilities of Bowness-on-Windermere are on the doorstep and the not to be missed attractions include the hand-made chocolate shop and the wonderful walks along the Bowness promenade where the many cruise ships run down the Lake to Ambleside. Discover picturesque local walks along footpaths bordering the site, including the Dales Way which runs by the golf club and Crook and Staveley and for the more adventurous walks across to Cartmel Fell. Further afield walk to Brant Fell which provides stunning views over Lake Windermere and its surrounding fells, including the Langdales and Crinkle Crags which offer some of the most outstanding challenges in this wonderful area.
