The vibrant town of Broughton-in-Furness is a bustling centre of activity with a regular livestock market and excellent amenities including an array of shops, cafes and inns. The Village Bakery sells speciality breads and cakes and has a cosy cafe which serves delicious breakfasts. The magnificent Duddon Valley is less than 1 mile away from this Broughton cottage and has one of the prettiest valleys in the Lake District with the River Duddon running clear and blue through the countryside. Spend a day at the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, which is less than 20 minutes' drive, visit the Laurel and Hardy Museum in Ulverston or venture north into the stunning beauty of the Lake District National Park.
