The property

Dufton 1.3 miles. This delightful mid-terrace cottage is situated in the rural village of Knock, in the Eden Valley, close to Dufton and five miles from Appleby-in-Westmorland. Aptly named Cross Fell View and located at the foot of the Pennines, with the Lake District less than 25 minutes' drive, this delightful cottage is ideal for a perfect holiday at any time of the year. Cross Fell View provides cosy accommodation, ideal for a relaxing break with the spectacular North Pennine fells on the doorstep. Inside, there is a sitting room with a woodburner to cosy up to if the weather becomes a little chilly. There is also a well-equipped kitchen and a conservatory with dining area. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin together with a family bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed front patio which catches all the morning sun, whilst at the back there is a secluded patio with mesmerising panoramic views to Knock Pike and Cross Fell, both ideal places to relax with a refreshing drink whilst planning your days ahead. From this cosy cottage you can get on to both the Pennine Way and the Coast to Coast Walk or simply amble into Dufton and enjoy this perfect quintessential English village with inn and tea room. Alternatively, explore the pretty market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland with numerous shops and inns, or take an evening stroll along the River Eden before enjoying dinner in one of the fine inns. Why not drive over to Pooley Bridge at the head of Ullswater and enjoy a cruise on the steamer down Ullswater – the second largest in the Lake District?
