Summary
Location is ideal for exploring, with good access to shops and supermarkets. The lodge is cozy, though some guests noted it was tired with stained carpets and a lack of essentials. Despite minor inconveniences like no washing machine and the heat from storage heaters, the setting and overall experience were enjoyable.
The property
A lovely log cabin close to Coniston Water in Cumbria. This Lake District cottage is all on the ground floor and has one double bedroom and an open-plan living area. To the outside are extensive shared grounds, but for a little privacy you do have your own private veranda. Perfect for discovering the wonderful Lake District National Park as well as the beautiful Cumbrian coast, this log cabin near Greenodd is a wonderful romantic retreat. Note: Although all ground floor, there are external steps up to the lodge and a 50 meter walk along a gravel path.
