White Lion Cottage was originally an 18th century Inn and is a true Lakeland retreat with many characterful features located in the quaint village of Chapel Stile.

Providing peace, tranquillity and unrivalled views this lovely cottage is perfectly located for exploring the Langdale Valley on foot all year round. Cosy by the woodburning stove by night or star gaze from the landscaped patio to the rear of the cottage, with spectacular views of Lingmoor Fell. Ideal for families or a group of friends looking to explore the rural Lake District.

Entering the property you'll find a traditional country kitchen complete with range oven and dining area. Spend the evenings socialising around the woodburning stove and reflect on your day after hiking one of the nearby fells. There is also a handy downstairs cloakroom with basin and WC. Upstairs are three comfortable bedrooms, with the master king-size bedroom boasting an en-suite shower room. Take in the fresh Lake District air in the rear fell garden area with mature plants and landscaped patio with seating and views over the nearby fells.

This superb cottage is located in the rural village of Chapel Stile, at the head of the picturesque Langdale Valley. There are plenty of local amenities just minutes away in foot, including a well-stocked corner shop, café and the famous country pub, The Wainwrights Inn. Walk a little further and you will come to the village of Elterwater with another Lakeland pub to enjoy, The Britannia Inn and Slates Coffee and Kitchen, serving up freshly made pizza, sandwiches and cake alongside home cooked breakfasts and brunch. Hop in the car and you are also only 4 miles from the vibrant village of Ambleside and Lake Windermere.
