The property
This delightful terraced cottage is conveniently located in the heart of the Lake District in Windermere, close to the town's park. Set over three floors, this is an ideal base for families and friends who wish to spend time together in this popular location. The cottage has some charming original features and has comfortable furnishings throughout with plenty of space to relax. On the lower ground floor, there is a sitting room, a kitchen, a spacious dining room with original tiled floor, a boot room and a shower room. Go up the stairs to the ground floor where you will find two of the three bedrooms, one has a king-size double and one a double, plus the family bathroom is also on this floor. The third bedroom, a twin, is on the second floor and is accessed via a spiral staircase. Outside, there is a small enclosed courtyard, where a drink can be enjoyed after a day spent out and about and access to Queen's Park is at the end of the road less than 150 yards away with play ground facilities and open grass. There are excellent amenities on the doorstep, with a range of shops and numerous cafes and restaurants. Bowness-on-Windermere, on the shores of Lake Windermere, is just two miles away where you can enjoy the lake either by hiring a rowing boat or cruising on the Windermere Steamer. There are also lots of activities available on the water with kayaking and stand up paddle boarding to name a few. For a quieter day, why not take the ferry and cross over to the pretty villages of Near and Far Sawrey or Hawkshead? Grizedale Forest is also over this side of the lake where you will find endless paths to explore. This lovely cottage makes an ideal base for exploring this wonderful part of the Lake District whether you want to get out on to the fells or simply to take time to admire the beautiful scenery.
