Summary
Feedback highlights excellent accommodation with a great location and amenities, but notes issues with the oven functionality and back door accessibility. Cleanliness and comfort were consistently praised, along with local shops and access to charging points for electric vehicles. Overall positive experiences with some minor concerns.
The property
Two The Chapel is one of four cottages created from the former Methodist Chapel, originally built in 1866, in the village of Staveley that sits on the edge of the Lake District National Park and is a popular base for those wanting to explore the area on foot, by bike or in the car. In addition to the local pubs and village shop the village is also home to an excellent artisan bakery and the UK’s largest cycle store. The neighbouring Kentmere Valley offers fantastic opportunities for all of all grades from gentle rambles to strenuous fell top hikes.
Guests arrive at the cottage through the shared access path in the garden and steps lead to the decked patio and the glazed arched door. Stepping inside this quirky cottage there is a bright and airy open plan sitting area, dining area and kitchen. A large sofa and armchair are arranged around the log burning stove where guests can relax and enjoy the views to the patio and the garden. In the dining area is a glass topped circular dining table and to the side there is a well-appointed kitchen area.
The cottage offers a choice of two bedrooms and there are complemented by a family bathroom.
To the rear of the cottage there is a small lawned garden that over looks the rivers and an elevated decked patio with bistro garden furniture is a lovely spot to sit and relax.
The property has been furnished with quality vintage and upcycled furniture from a sustainable and design aesthetic perspective
