Surrounded by impressive mountains, caves and waterfalls, Ingleton is a real gem of the Yorkshire Dales. There is also plenty to see indoors, be sure to visit the local pottery, artisan shops, country pubs and indoor climbing wall. A local attraction not to be missed is the magnificent limestone White Scar Caves and café just outside the village, with outstanding views of the valley. The area is also home to the famous Ribblehead viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle railway and within a 10 minute drive you can catch the steam train and enjoy a scenic ride, it is also a spectacular site if you are lucky enough to catch site of it travelling over the viaduct. Within half an hour drive you will come across the popular market towns of Settle and Hawes or further afield the Lake District is easily reachable for a day out.
