The property
Bryn Awelon is an exquisite dwelling proudly positioned in the popular town of Harlech within the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). Offering exceptional views of Harlech Castle, amenities within walking distance, and an idyllic base for exploring the Eryri National Park, there’s no better spot to spend quality time with your loved ones than in this scenic part of Wales. Entering onto the contemporary first floor, you will find two delightful bedrooms amidst the sloping ceilings of the house; with a king and a twin room to choose from, this spot provides an ideal layout for a variety of group needs, as well as benefiting from offering wondrous views of the castle, the town below, the sea, Snowdonia, and the Cambrian mountains beyond. Step out onto the balcony and relax with an early morning cuppa whilst your children enjoy the cosy reading area and books upstairs. Heading down to the ground floor, you will be greeted by a further king and twin room, in keeping with the Victorian style of the property and offering equally bright and airy spots to rest. When seeking a spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast ahead of a day of rambling, the ground-floor kitchen/diner provides a contemporary space where you can rustle up any type of treat using the good range of appliances in the room, to be enjoyed with an energizing cup of coffee in hand. For more formal dining experiences, take your home-cooked delights through to the impressive dining room, suitable for seating the whole group and also benefiting from doubling up as a great space to play board games for a quiet evening in. Spend the rest of your evenings in the sitting room, where the wood-burning stove brings a homely glow to the room as the TV offers background noise while you plan your next adventure. For some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of the group, take some time for yourself in the snug, with a second wood-burning stove, perfect for diving into a good book listening to vinyl, or watching a family film on the pull-down projector screen; you'll feel like you're at the cinema! Be sure to spend some time in the impressive garden, with plenty of room to roam and dine alfresco, be it a picnic or a barbecue. The extraordinary castle is the perfect backdrop to any occasion. The local area is a great spot to cater to a variety of tastes, with a wide selection of eateries, a convenience store, a well-renowned golf course, and, of course, the castle. There’s plenty here to discover. Challenge yourself to the steepest street in the world, by foot or bike - Ffordd Pen Llech was awarded a Guinness World Record. Take a trip to the Morfa Harlech National Nature Reserve before heading onto the soft sands of the beach for a day full of family excitement. Choose to explore more of the National Park, being sure to take in the views from the top of the peak, or venture further to Portmeirion, an Italianate village offering extravagant wonder in the form of award-winning restaurants, color-washed buildings, and historic cottages. Bryn Awelon is a grand base from which to explore this magnificent area of Wales with your loved ones.
