A detached 18th century stone-built farmhouse, standing in half an acre of enclosed grounds in the hamlet of Hemford, close to the Welsh Borders in the area known as The Marches. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, this traditional cottage offers simple and comfortable accommodation with a cosy atmosphere. The property boasts a wealth of original beams, a warm and welcoming sitting room with cast iron multi-fuel stove and a large garden, perfect for dining alfresco whilst enjoying the views of the nearby Callow and Corndon Hills. The garden also boasts a Shepherd's Hut which is ideal as a quiet retreat or for watching wildlife. Hillgate House makes a wonderful base from which to enjoy walking, cycling and horse riding, or visiting the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Bishop's Castle and Ludlow.
