The property
Pontrhydfendigaid 5 miles. A spacious and modern detached barn conversion on the edge of the owners’ working sheep farm, overlooking the beautiful Vale of Aeron, close to the popular harbourside town of Aberaeron on Cardigan Bay. Situated just a short drive from Pontrhydfendigaid on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, and between the market town of Tregaron and the beauty spot of Devil’s Bridge, this cottage is a wonderful base for families or friends to relax or explore the surrounding countryside. With all of the accommodation on the ground floor, there are three large bedrooms, two doubles (one with Jack-and-Jill access to a shower room), and one twin room. There is a large well-equipped kitchen, with views across the valley, leading to the spacious sitting and dining room, where you can sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the views across the valley. Outside, you can sit on the patio and relax in the sun, or let the children run off any remaining energy on the large hardstanding area surrounding the property, ideal for ball games. The area is surrounded by stunning views and walks across the surrounding hills and Cambrian Mountain Range. Just six miles away is the popular market town of Tregaron, which also boasts the nearby Cors Caron, a raised bog covering 2000 acres, with miles of pathways including a raised accessible boardwalk, popular with nature lovers as it supports rare flora and fauna. You are ideally placed to explore the beautiful sandy beaches and rugged coves of the Wales Coast Path, stretching along the breathtaking Cardigan Bay coastline, and the area offers numerous outdoor activities such as pony trekking, coasteering, wildlife and dolphin spotting boat trips and miles of footpaths. Aberystwyth, a thriving university town is just a short drive away, making this a perfect base for groups looking to enjoy a variety of days out in the locality.
