Make sure you get to the Craflwyn Nature Reserve to explore the fantastic trails and the Sygun Copper Mine, where many of the inhabitants of Club Street and other miners’ cottages in the village worked. On your stroll around, get a picture with the statue of Prince Llywelyn’s legendary hound Gelert. Then take a ride on an old-fashioned steam train at the Beddgelert Welsh Highland Railway. Porthmadog is a short journey away for a day at the beach soaking in the sun on the warmer days. The kids can get up to all the seaside activities they desire.
