When you’re ready to explore, there are many superb secluded sandy beaches at Benllech - a short walk from the bungalow is Traeth Benllech, offering generous expanses of inviting sand provide plenty of room for busy beach games, while the gently sloping shore is perfect for paddlers of all ages, and around the headland is Traeth Coch (Red Wharf Bay), a massive 10 square miles in all at low tide, with waders and wild fowl in residence throughout the year. Benllech is known for the beautiful Gwylfan Moelfre Seawatch, which overlooks the stunningly clear waters of the bay and is perfect for enjoying a peaceful day of fishing, swimming or simply relaxing in the sun. If you fancy a night away from the kitchen, there are several restaurants, bars and takeaways in the village, including the popular Pebbles Bistro, The Breeze Hill and The Benllech. For seeking adventure, a scenic drive will bring you to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, filled with excellent walks, waterfalls and rambles into the wilderness.
