The popular Red Wharf Bay is nearby and boasts over four miles of sandy beaches which are known for gorgeous sunsets, as well as safe sunbathing, shallow swimming waters, active fishing spots, great birdwatching opportunities and scenic walking trails. In the opposite direction, you can discover the medieval town of Beaumaris which is home to a 13th century castle, a traditional pier, a museum, a Victorian prison, a golf course, and it also offers boat trips for sightseeing or sea fishing. You can also drive over the Britannia Bridge to explore North Wales, including Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) which offers an abundance of walking, cycling and outdoor sporting opportunities. Plas y Brain is wonderfully located for discovering the Welsh coastline whilst being indulged in local nature.
