Summary

Guests appreciated the well-equipped amenities, though some noted issues with the television size, stair accessibility, and minor maintenance concerns. Overall, it is valued for its charm and proximity to local attractions.
The property
Built onto the Town Walls and in the heart of Conwy, North Wales lies Millgate Cottage, a charming two-bedroom end-terrace cottage offering breathtaking views of the City walls.
The convenient location of the property, being close to local shops, pubs, and restaurants. As well as being next door to the Conwy Visitor Centre, where you can source information on attractions, activities and events in the area, makes Millgate Cottage a fantastic base for a fascinating holiday to Wales.
Millgate Cottage has the added advantage of two off road parking spaces adjoining the cottage, for your own use during your stay.
Step inside to be greeted with an open-plan living space offering a homely, cottage feel. Providing a great base for your exploring, you can delight in the classic décor with touches such as the Belfast sink in the kitchen area, amidst a selection of integrated appliances, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Enjoy a quick breakfast at the table, which opens into a full-sized dining table if you so wish, before heading out for the day to take in the historical sights practically on your doorstep, before returning to Millgate Cottage to prepare for an evening out trying the local cuisine.
Stairs will lead you up to the first floor which is home to a bright and cheerful twin room, overlooking the twin-towered Mill Gate, one of the gatehouses in the walls of Conwy town.
A cloakroom with a basin and WC lies on this floor too, while up on the second floor you can feel refreshed with a shower in the bathroom, while taking in gorgeous views of the greenery beyond the town walls.
Step out of the bathroom and straight into the second-floor double bedroom area, and make yourself at home.
Down below on the ground floor you can enjoy an evening relaxing in the rear courtyard that backs onto the town walls, complete with chairs and bistro table.
Just a short walk will bring you to the famous Conwy Castle, built between 1283 and 1287, it is wonderfully preserved and offers an insight into medieval military architecture.
Take a peek inside the Smallest House in Great Britain on the harbour front, before tucking into some tasty fish and chips as you watch the boats come and go.
Some fine-dining favourites to visit during your trip include Watson's Bistro on Chapel Street, family-run with French-inspired cuisine, or try Castle Hotel in the town centre, once an early 19th- century coaching inn, it has both a casual gastropub in Dawson's Bar and Snug, or fine-dining in the Shakespeare Restaurant.
Head to the town of Llandudno for a walk up the Little and Great Orme or take a stroll along the Victorian Llandudno Pier to delight in traditional seaside amusements and shops.
Seek further adventure in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park or relax on the serene beaches on a day out to Anglesey.
