The property

A beautiful stone-built cottage resting in the quaint town of Dyserth, Denbighshire, Hilston is a fantastic base for a family looking to explore the coast and countryside of Wales. Be welcomed by this picturesque mid-terrace cottage, shrouded in colourful shrubs and with the sound of the waterfall in the background. Enter into a homely sitting/dining room, ideal for warming yourself beside the woodburning stove, and the kitchen has plenty of amenities to assist with heart-warming meals. There are two bedrooms within this property, including a double with storage and a twin, and a bathroom where you can shake the sand from your hair in the shower or enjoy a warm soak amongst the bubbles. Outside, the garden is simply delightful, with a patio right outside the property, leading on to a raised garden outlined with flowering shrubs and sporting a turf and decking area with outdoor sofas, ideal or relaxing with a glass of your favourite beverage in an evening with views over the local scenery.
Right on your doorstep you will see the picturesque Rhaeadr Dyserth Waterfall.
Not only can you step just outside to see this beautiful 70ft Waterfall, but you can even hear the calming sound of the water from the garden itself.
There is a heritage trail that leads to breathtaking views from the very top. If you love to explore, the original caves still remain from the mining days and are also accessible but remember to bring your torch!
The falls and its entire surrounding location really are an area of outstanding natural beauty, whether you have 10 minutes spare to grab an ice-cream from the entrance and admire from afar, or if you want to fully explore everything the falls has to offer, you won't be disappointed
.
There are charming local pubs and places to grab some delicious food, as well as a convenience store with late night openings and butchers where you can stock up on the essentials.
For scenic walks along the hillside and past the old quarry remains, The Dyserth to Prestatyn walk way passes through the centre of St. Melyd Golf Club. A 9 hole course in the village of Meliden less than 2 miles away, and there is also a large golf course in Prestatyn where you can try out your skills. Prestatyn sports a large sandy beach and many cafes and shops, walks through Coed Bell and from here you can find Rhyl beach and Talacre which also has a famous lighthouse. Further from the property you can discover amazing wildlife at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, take the coastal path across Angel Bay and visit Llandudno with its famous pier, Little Orme and Big Orme walks, and of course, the Cable Car rides and ski and snowboard centre.
