Bala offers water sports such as kayaking, sailing and windsurfing whilst nearby Llangollen offers kayaking and white water rafting together with trips along the picturesque Llangollen Canal with its stunning aqueducts and horse drawn canal boats. Tan y Garth is also a great base for walkers to explore the surrounding countryside including the medieval castle, Castell Dinas Bran situated in the hills above Llangollen.
