Outside, a rectangular small courtyard is a lovely sun trap in the afternoon. There are excellent local amenities within a stone’s throw from this charming cottage, including a good butcher's, a local pub, a tea room and a village shop. Port Mulgrave beach is just a few minutes’ walk, with its fossils and rock pooling, whilst the picturesque fishing village of Runswick Bay is one mile away and offers a sandy cove, just perfect for building sand castles and paddling in the sea. Take a bracing cliff-top walk on the Cleveland Way with superb coastal views, or explore the nearby seaside town of Whitby, steeped in history with its narrow, cobbled streets, interesting shops and famous abbey. On the edge of the North York Moors, this inviting and homely cottage makes an ideal base for a memorable family holiday.
