The property
Hayloft Cottage is a pretty stone cottage, imaginatively converted from a former farm building, on the owner’s smallholding in Staintondale, set in the heart of the stunning North York Moors.
Restored, decorated and furnished to a high standard, this lovely Staintondale cottage is well equipped and offers well-presented accommodation perfect for a family holiday or romantic break.
There is an open-plan living area, the perfect zone to get together to relax and enjoy quality time. The well-appointed kitchen has everything you need for enjoying a home-cooked meal if you want to have a night off from sampling the tasty fare at the local country pubs. There are leather sofas, a lovely electric woodburning-effect stove, a dining area, TV/DVD and CD player along with a selection of books and games to help you unwind.
Upstairs both bedrooms ooze charm and character with pitched roofs, exposed wooden beams and boarded wooden doors with traditional-style door furniture. The double and twin bedrooms have inviting beds and crisp white bed linen to help ensure an enjoyable stay.
Outside this Staintondale cottage, there is a private courtyard area at the rear with patio furniture and characterful, traditional stone walling; a lovely spot to sit and relax. At the front of the cottage, there is ample parking and sea views from the courtyard, making the ideal space to enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee. The Falcon Innpub is less than 1 mile away from the property, serving food and drink.
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity and take a walk along the many public footpaths accessible directly from the cottage and explore the stunning views of Staintondale with its picturesque countryside, forestry and coastal location. Visit the beaches, coves and beautiful local villages like Robin Hoods Bay or head down the cliff path at Ravenscar to see the large colony of seals, a wonderful way to view local wildlife in its natural habitat.
