The property
A beautifully finished annexe cottage attached to the owner's home, Ash Tree Lodge is a wonderful escape for two in the village of Burton Pidsea. Within easy reach of the coast, as well as the bustling city of Hull, whilst still being surrounded by flat country lanes perfect for walks and cycling, Ash Tree Lodge makes a delightful dwelling to enjoy a break in East Yorkshire. Be welcomed into the quaint cottage interior of the open-plan living space and make yourself at home on the pretty floral sofa, with an armchair in here too and a woodburning stove, you can relax before the TV after a busy day. A lovely kitchen area is home to an electric oven and hob, slimline dishwasher and fridge, presenting all you need to rustle up romantic meals for two, to be enjoyed at the dining table in the centre of this picture-perfect room. Move through the unusual arched double doorway into the conservatory to soak up the sun even on a cooler day, surrounded by house plants and with plenty of soft seating, it's a lovely spot to get lost in a book with a warm drink. Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of the glorious enclosed garden and take a dip in the hot tub for an afternoon of relaxation with your loved one. Afterwards, dine alfresco at the ornate wrought iron furniture, whilst your four-legged friend enjoys the large and secure lawn space to run around. Retire to the elegant double bedroom to get some rest in the super king size bed, where a vintage green velvet sofa and decorative feature fireplace add an antique charm. Freshen up in the bathroom which houses a bath with an overhead shower, great for those who want a quick refresh with a shower or a long soak in the bath. Bring your bikes along with you to this delightful dwelling and embark on some cycling adventures on the Holderness peninsula where there are plenty of flat country lanes and beautiful coastal scenery, perfect for dog walking and leisurely holiday adventures! The village of Burton Pidsea is home to two traditional inns which both serve food, great for enjoying a night off from cooking, whilst the surrounding area and the city of Hull provide a wider selection of eateries and takeaways. Also in reach is Kingston upon Hull, a fabulous area where you can soak in a range of cultural attractions at the city's fine art gallery and excellent museum quarter. Discover the beautiful Spurn National Nature Reserve at the tip of the peninsula, home to rich coastal wildlife, a visitor centre and a picturesque lighthouse, offering a scenic day out with views over the mouth of the Humber River. Head to the seaside town of Withernsea and visit the old Pier Towers, walk along the promenade and venture up the Withernsea Lighthouse Museum. Further up the coast is the town of Hornsea; visit Bugtopia, Hornsea Museum, Hall Garth Park, Hornsea Beach and Hornsea Mere, there's plenty to entertain. Relish a romantic escape to East Yorkshire at Ash Tree Lodge.
