After unloading your belongings, settle down in the homely sitting room ready to rest your tired legs; in the well-equipped kitchen, allow the allocated chef to rustle up a tasty feast for the whole family, to be enjoyed in the lovely dining room. If you prefer to dine alfresco, make use of the rear courtyard to savour your meal in amongst your peaceful surroundings or freshen up with use of the sleek en-suite facilities or shower rooms before heading to the local pub on the days you don’t feel like cooking. As the evening draws to a close, choose from one of four luxurious bedrooms including 2 Super king rooms both with walk-in showers, a second-floor king-size with a lovely en-suite including a bath and shower and a twin room again with a walk-in shower room to catch your rest in.
If you can tear yourself away, begin your adventures by climbing the infamous 199 steps and soaking in the stunning views of Whitby before exploring the ruins of the infamous Whitby Abbey.
If you prefer to relax upon the sandy trails, spend the day upon Whitby Beach, ideal for paddling the shores, basking in the sun’s rays during warmer months or even trying your hand at a range of watersports.
Travel to the nearby town of Scarborough, home to Scarborough Beach, Scarborough Castle and Scarborough SEA LIFE, guaranteed to be a hit with the marine/animal lovers of the group.
Further afield, traverse the many walking and cycling opportunities throughout the North York Moors National Park, ensuring to stop off at the Mallyan Spout Waterfall, Hole of Horcum and the National Trust owned site of Bridgestones Crosscliff and Blakey Topping. If space is available it is possible to park directly in front of the house. Both the car park pass and scratch-cards are provided for the duration of your stay.
