The ideal destination for a family holiday, the accommodation has retained several distinctive features such as feature fireplaces, wood panelling, original sash windows and wooden shutters, which all add up to create an authentic and welcoming ambience.
The sitting area is wonderfully inviting with lots of seating arranged in front of the log burner, somewhere you can imagine guests gathering to get warm and socialise together, enjoying stunning views of the estuary.
The small but perfectly formed kitchen has everything needed to produce great food for the whole family and when it’s ready to serve up, the large, rustic dining table is just waiting for guests to pull up a chair and look forward to long, leisurely meals together. At bedtime, guests can choose from two pleasant bedrooms which are both delightful and a joy to spend time in and recharge the batteries.
There is an attractive patio area where you can sit and enjoy a a morning coffee and plan the day’s activities, whilst enjoying spectacular views over the River.
Alnmouth is on the doorstep which includes a good selection of shops, eateries, a golf course, and miles of sandy beaches.
Jump in the car for visits to the scenic town of Alnwick, famous for its castle and gardens, or drive a little further to attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall, Howick Hall and Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle and Northumberland Country Zoo. Take a boat trip over to the Farne Islands where you might catch sight of an unusual bird or seal.
